I thought this would be a bit more user friendly.and because it is not a photoshop program even online courses and such do not transfer over to this program. Not exactly what I was expecting based on the description. If you have a lot of extra time to play with photos and learn this product then it is for you but if you are the average family mom who just wants to create some fun photos and fix up family images then it might be a bit more than you wanted to learn.
Good product but not intuitive takes a while to fiqure out layout and capabilities. Not what I expected from the advertising.
The Serif photo editing software works somewhat, at least, & I rate it as "fair" with two stars. Not very effective for web work. While the software itself does seem to work, the tutorials do not, and although you can manipulate photo's somewhat, it is not anything near what is needed for web work. The tools needed to attach transparency to a cropped image background is not compatable with most other web editing software and thus the image always has a background of some color or another. At best it is a photo retouch program with limited compatability. For that I give it two stars, and rate it as fair.
It does everything but it is not the most user fiendly of this class of program and appears to have evolved into a more complex program. Cutting and pasting has become a complicated function of dealing with layers. Once you get a hang of it you can do everything you want but it takes three clicks where comparable programs take one.
This program is not easy to work with at all. I do not recommend this to the regular person who wants to take and organize family pictures for their own use. Way to complicated for the average user. I would not buy again or recommend to a friend.
